Episode 4×21 is set to air on Thursday, May 2, 2013 at 8:00 EST on The CW. The episode was written by Michael Narducci and Rebecca Sonnenshine and directed by Darnell Martin. Check out the official episode synopsis:

LET’S MAKE A DEAL — Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Stefan (Paul Wesley) try a brutal new approach to provoke Elena (Nina Dobrev) into turning her humanity back on, and Caroline (Candice Accola) is frustrated when her attempt to intervene backfires.  When Elena figures out a way to call the Salvatore brothers’ bluff, they call for backup from a surprising source.  Matt (Zach Roerig) gives Rebekah (Claire Holt) some unsolicited advice on her life choices, and she tries to help him in return.  Caroline has a confusing and dangerous encounter with Klaus (Joseph Morgan), and Katherine (Nina Dobrev) is suspicious when Bonnie (Kat Graham) makes her an offer that she promises will benefit them both.  Darnell Martin directed the episode written by Michael Narducci & Rebecca Sonnenshine (#421). – KSiteTV
Let’s break it down.

A brutal approach to make Elena turn her emotions back on? Maybe they pull a Lexi and lock her in the Salvatore basement, torturing her into feeling something again. You know it’s bad if Caroline (who Elena recently attempted to kill) is trying to intervene. So, Damon and Stefan call for backup from a surprising source? Remember how I said maybe they pull a Lexi? Well, maybe they somehow really get Lexi there to help since she’s the master at flipping humanity switches? Arielle Kebbel did tease recently at the TVD Chicago Convention to keep watching and we MIGHT see Lexi again. Another possibility? What if the veil is lifted at this point and Jeremy comes back? I’m sure they could use him to provoke some kind of emotion in her. Who really f*cking knows though. Your guess is as good as mine.

Rebekah and Matt helping each other out? I’m glad we’ll get to see some more Matty. I was always rooting for these two to hit it off… even though she almost killed Matt, destroyed his car, and did kill Elena. Everyone makes mistakes, right? What the hell could she be helping Matt with? Maybe she’s helping him redecorate his newly acquired mansion. Party at Matt’s house!

We know that Klaus is back in Mystic Falls in this episode (he’ll be in New Orleans the previous week). AND we know we’re going to get a Klaroline scene of some sort. Caroline has a ”confusing” and dangerous encounter with Klaus? It can only mean one thing… KLAROLINE SEX. Just kidding. I’ve given up on all hope that these two will be together now that Klaus got his own spin-off and did the horizontal mambo with Hayley, who’s joining on said spin-off show. The synopsis also says the encounter is “dangerous”? I can’t imagine what more she could do at this point to piss him off. Something involving Tyler I’m sure. F*cking Tyler.

Bonnie’s making deals with Katherine? Da fucque? I guess she’s already hit her low point now that she’s helped revive Silas, dropped the supernatural hell veil and possibly caused an apocalypse. We know Katherine’s still in the picture, which makes me happy. I love that fierce bitch. I’m guessing Bonnie’s trying to mend the damage she caused while under Silas’s hypnosis. I’m also still predicting that Katherine dies this season in such a way that redeems her for all the awful shit she’s done over the seasons. Possibly sacrificing herself and going out a hero. Calling it right now!

Who do Damon and Stefan turn to for help? What could be happening between Klaus and Caroline? And could we be seeing an alliance between Bonnie and Katherine? Leave your thoughts, comments and predictions about the upcoming episode. #FangsOut
