The Vampire Diaries - The Originals Extended Preview

Stefan, Elena, Matt, and Jeremy in The Vampire Diaries Season 4, Episode 2: “Memorial”
Zombies! Hey, what are else are we supposed to think, given the title of The Vampire Diaries Season 4, Episode 22: “The Walking Dead”?

OK, so they aren’t zombies — they’re ghosts. A blustery day in Mystic Falls means malevolent things when the undead start showing up, and not everyone is friendly.

But first, normal teenage stuff! According to the synopsis, everyone at Mystic Falls High School is ready to give up the pretense that they actually attend classes and do homework and just graduate already.

In order to prepare for the big day, Caroline (Candice Accola) attempts to make Elena (Nina Dobrev) mail out her graduation announcements — maybe to those family friends in Colorado who took Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) in for a bit? Unfortunately, Elena is laser-focused on something else and her attention can’t be diverted.

Sheriff Forbes (Marguerite MacIntyre) needs her two best deputies, Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Stefan (Paul Wesley), to investigate The Case of the Injured Hospital Patients. Someone’s been going after the easy prey.

Katherine (Nina Dobrev) isn’t keen on helping Bonnie (Kat Graham), who needs the doppelganger’s help to defeat Silas.

Matt (Zach Roerig) and Rebekah (Claire Holt) are somewhere, too, hopefully making out with each other. That quarterback could use some loving!

THURSDAY, MAY 9

THE VAMPIRE DIARIES — (8:00–9:00 p.m. ET)
“The Walking Dead” (Content Rating TBD) (HDTV)

SOMETHING WICKED — As Graduation Day approaches, Caroline (Candice Accola) tries to distract Elena (Elena Dobrev) by focusing on simple tasks like sending out announcements, but Elena won’t be swayed from her new obsession. Sheriff Forbes (Marguerite MacIntyre) calls Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Stefan (Paul Wesley) to the hospital, where someone has been attacking patients. Still trying to force Katherine (Elena Dobrev) to help her, Bonnie (Kat Graham) refuses to give up on her plan to defeat Silas. As a violent wind storm causes a power outage in Mystic Falls, ghosts suddenly appear – some with good intentions and some bent on revenge. Zach Roerig and Claire Holt also star. Rob Hardy directed the episode written by Brian Young & Caroline Dries (#422).
