Kat Graham is in tears after vampire diaries season 5 finale

We're still teary-eyed from  Season 5 finale of The Vampire Diaries. The episode was one emotional punch to the gut after another, ending with the biggest one of all: Bonnie (Kat Graham) and Damon (Ian Somerhalder) grasping hands and getting sucked into oblivion. What was Kat's reaction to watching the heartbreaking episode?
"Watched the finale. In tears. So proud of my beautiful cast members work, our dedicated crew and the mind and passion of our writers. #TVD," Kat tweeted shortly after the episode had aired — and we couldn't agree with the sentiment more. The entire TVD cast and crew brought their A game last night. The acting. The cinematography. The writing. Everything came together for an effective, beautiful, and brutal ending to what has been an uneven season. We are officially excited to see where TVD takes us in Season 6.
We're especially curious about the path of Bonnie. Though we have serious doubts that Damon will stay dead forever, we are more worried about the former witch. As she told Jeremy in their heartbreaking last phone call, she died the day before she graduated from high school. Everything since has been a gift. Arguably, almost every character on this show could take that perspective, but that fact that the writers chose to have Bonnie voice it allowed makes us fear her days are numbered.
But, in the mean time, we're hoping for The Adventures of Damon and Bonnie on the Other Side of the Other Side. Paul Wesley (Stefan) told TV Guide: "[The finale] definitely establishes new parameters in the environment we'll be shooting in Season 6. They reset things in a way, and the writers have the ability to now change the circumstances and locations of where the show takes place." Sounds to us like the story of our seeming departed friends might not be over. Bring on Season 6!
