Warning! Spoilers for The Vampire Diaries Season 4, Episode 14, “Down the Rabbit Hole.”
Our Valentine’s Day turned into a sobbing mess last night — but not for the usual reasons. It was a combination of the cure-hungry Katherine (Nina Dobrev), a bloodthirsty Silas, and an innocent Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen).
The immortal witch was presented with Jer as a tasty snack by Katherine so she could grab the cure and run. Silas went further than that — snapping the hunter’s neck at the very end of the episode.
We’ve seen this happen to Jeremy before, but now that he’s a member of the Five, it’s not clear if his ring will work this time. In the promo for Season 4, Episode 15, “Stand by Me,” Elena (Nina Dobrev) seems determined to save her little bro.
It’s not clear whether we’ll see Steven R. McQueen, but he was getting a lot of love from devastated fans on Twitter. He tweeted his appreciation.
We just hope that isn’t the last we hear from him!
