Ian Somerhalder might play the resident bad guy on The Vampire Diaries, but deep down inside he has a heart of gold. He recently shared with his Twitter followers that his own Ian Somerhalder Foundation has volunteer gigs open, in which fans can apply for.
His foundation helps wild life to keep them safe and protected from possible death. Here is the full tweet that he wrote to break the news and to help spread the awareness of his great cause.

I am glad that he is asking for more help so his cause can have a wider reach. I think that is so important for anyone, especially when he is as popular as he is. I love that his passion is so big and that Nina Dobrev also has adopted the same cause. They both have big hearts and the fact they spent their winter vacation with wild life speaks volumes. They truly do live what they preach and that makes them all the more likable. I just hope that he will have all the help that he needs so he can make the changes that the world needs for animals. All living creatures deserve respect, and if he can help usher that in the better off we all are.,
How do you feel about this news? I love it and wish that I did have the skills needed to help out. Maybe later on he will have a position with the skills that I have. Then I would jump at the chance to help out his cause. His golden heart and passion as clear as day with this foundation, nobody can deny that he means what he is fighting for. Now if we can only help to get the word out more for his cause, then we might be able to see all of his dreams come true at last.
