OMG. How much longer are we going to have to wait before a casting announcement is made for the Fifty Shades of Grey movie? Speculation about who will land the roles of Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey have been going on, well -- pretty much since the news broke that the book was going to be made into a film.
And enough is enough already. We're sick and tired of the name dropping. We're over the "will he or won't he" stuff. We want names, damnit. And we want 'em soon.
Fortunately, we may be one step closer to hearing some news, because two front-runners for Christian's role seem to have emerged.
Drum roll, please.
As of now, reports indicate that it's highly likely that either Ian Somerhalder or Henry Cavill will wind up playing Christian Grey.
Yeah, yeah, I know that neither one of them really comes as a huge surprise, because they've both been mentioned as possible Christians quite a few times in the past. But still -- it's kind of exciting to think that the field is narrowing a bit, right?
And no, it's not like they've been listed as the official final two contenders by producers or anything like that, but if whoever casts the film pays any attention to who people think will best fit the role, odds are good that one of them will probably wind up with the part.
Hmm. Both are definitely great options, but which one is a better fit for the most highly coveted role in Hollywood?
Personally, my vote goes to Ian, for purely shallow reasons. He's hawt. Like really, really, insanely gorgeous kinda hot. I'd let him tie me up. (Did I really just write that? Yes I did. And I'm not ashamed.)
Not that I have anything against Henry Cavill getting cast -- he is Superman and all, so it's easy to see why he's a popular choice -- it's just that Ian is so freakin' dreamy I can hardly stand it.
When I picture Christian Grey in my mind, I see Ian Somerhalder, and vice versa. He has to snag the role. He just has to.
