Check out this spooky old tree! A team working on The Vampire Diaries spin-off, The Originals, is checking out shooting locations, and based on a photo posted by Chris Grismer — TVD’s supervising producer — they may have found the perfect place.
It’s not clear where Chris was when he snapped the creepy foliage, but some of the show will be filmed on location in New Orleans. As Kol (Nathaniel Buzolic) mentioned in a recent Vampire Diaries episode, the Original family used to reside in the lively city at the turn of the 20th century.
Klaus (Joseph Morgan) will head back to his old bead-drenched stomping grounds in a backdoor pilot on April 25. He’ll be joined by werewolf Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin), an old friend, and a few witches.
Let’s hope no one makes magical stakes out of that beautiful tree.
