Fifty Shades of Grey Casting: Movie's Screenwriter Addresses Casting Rumors

We may not know exactly who producers have in mind for the Fifty Shades of Grey film, but apparently a few names are indeed being already considered.

The film's screenwriter, Kelly Marcel, spoke to The Sunday Times about the in-progress script, and apparently there are "names [of actors] floating about" among the film's creators as far as who will play Christian Grey.

Sadly, Kelly wouldn't reveal much about who might be playing the lead roles. But she does say that no one will commit until the screenplay is completed.

“Ha-ha! No actor would sign up to a film without a script. That would be insane,” she explains.

Kelly has revealed that the film will probably be rated NC-17. Whether that racy rating would deter big-name Hollywood actors remains to be seen.
At any rate, it sounds like the producers are taking every precaution to keep even the tiniest hint about the script from leaking to the public.

“This thing is very, very closely guarded,” she says. “There are shredders arriving at my house at this moment, because in L.A. my trash was gone through."

"Who is playing Christian, who is playing Anna — seriously, people are rabid about this thing," she continues.

Yes, we are rabid, Kelly. Guilty as charged!
