Vampire Diaries Spoilers For The Originals Spin-Off: Prepare For Flashbacks

It wouldn’t really be a spin-off of The Vampire Diaries without flashbacks, right? The Originals, which will air its backdoor pilot in place of a TVD episode on April 25, will definitely do a little time traveling, Daniel Gillies (Elijah) tells Entertainment Weekly.
“It will be about both the contemporary [story] — where we are now and what we are up to — and also will flash back to show what the f**k happened to us to bring us to this moment,” Daniel explained. 
The show is set in New Orleans, and executive producer Julie Plec will show the city today and throughout the early 20th century, when the Originals first lived there.
Just how often we’ll see the cast in old-fashioned wigs — and whether other siblings such as Rebekah (Claire Holt) and Kol (Nathaniel Buzolic) will appear in the flashbacks — is still a mystery.
