The sound of Jeremy’s (Steven R. McQueen) neck snapping made our hearts drop. First Katherine (Nina Dobrev) bit a chunk out of his throat so Silas could feed, unfreeze, and release the cure. Then she left the little Gilbert in the ancient witch’s clutches.
Apparently Silas doesn’t like live meals, because he snapped Jer’s neck after a few suckles. The hunter fell to the ground, lifeless.
In Season 4, Episode 15, “Stand by Me,” Elena (Nina Dobrev) finds her brother, but she can’t let him go. Back in Mystic Falls, Meredith (Torrey DeVitto) says she needs his body, but Elena insists, “He’s not dead!”
