Ian Somerhalder and Henry Cavill are currently being cited as the two most popular choices to play the male lead in the film version of Fifty Shades of Grey, according to IB Times. Likewise, Celebrity Dirty Laundry refers to them as the "top contenders for the role." However, it is uncertain if this is indeed how producers are leaning Henry had previously hinted to Details magazine that he would be game for the role, and Ian sounds interested as well.
