The Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev break up hit all their Vampire Diaries fans hard, but unfortunately sometimes things just don’t work. It’s a terrible thing when two people, once happy in love, fall out of it again.
For most of us, there is time and space to heal. Whether we like it or not, we’re not forced to stand face-to-face with the person we’ve decided to part ways with. Normally we don’t have to do stuff, like, you know, work with them most days at a job that requires we make out naked on the regular. Because we are not Nina Dobrev.
Come the fall, Nina will be back on set working with her ex, Ian Somerhalder — who recently said he would “be happy if a woman would just go for dinner with me, rather than wanting my babies straight away!” (Ouch!) We know that they are both consummate professionals, but feelings are feelings, and I’m sure they’ll run deep, whether that reveals itself on the set on The Vampire Diaries or not.
There’s a lot to be said for the power of a rebound relationship. Moving on to someone new can put that much-needed pep back into your step. A little lust with even less pressure can very often be just the prescription that the doctor passed along. When you’re a gorgeous talented celebrity like Nina, the dating world is your oyster. So we couldn’t help but contemplate, who should Nina Dobrev date next if she really is available and it’s not all a happy misunderstanding?
Nina could have her pick of several hotties, while most of us have to drown our sorrows and get our groove back with Wayne from accounting. If you were Nina, who would you set your sights on among Hollywood’s hot elite?
Maybe the rumored-to-be-available and equally-due-for-a-rebound Liam Helmsworth? Maybe a younger man to spice things up, perhaps the smoldering youngster Avan Jogia from ABC Family’s Twisted? Just think of the hair their kids would have! Stunning, I tell you!
