Uh-oh! The Vampire Diaries spoilers for Season 4, Episode 19, “Pictures of You”
On the heels of the announcement of Steven R. McQueen’s (Jeremy Gilbert) impending return to The Vampire Diaries comes more news about another familiar face coming back to Mystic Falls: Tyler Lockwood (Michael Trevino).
According to what TVD expert Carina MacKenzie has been saying in her ConnecTV chats, the hybrid makes an appearance in Season 4, Episode 19, “Pictures of You.” And he even shares a moment with Caroline (Candice Accola).
“[T]yler and [C]aroline get a dance… kind of,” the Zap2It writer teases. The reunion will be brief — it sounds like this is the “pivotal moment” Julie Plec promised fans who were upset over Tyler’s abrupt departure.
However things end between Caroline and Tyler, there’s still one big, bad complication to contend with: Klaus (Joseph Morgan). In another ConnecTV chat, Carina said, “Klaus isn’t about to give him a free p[ass].”
There’s no word about whether Michael Trevino will come back for The Vampire Diaries Season 5. If The Originals spin-off is picked up, there’s a possibility Tyler will feel more at ease showing up in a Klaus-free town. Or maybe Klaus won’t let him leave town at all... unless it’s in a body bag?
