We love when the cast of The Vampire Diaries posts photos on Twitter — especially when they give us clues about what’s going on in the show.
Nina Dobrev (Elena Gilbert) is missing Coachella right now, but she’s not letting it get her down — literally. She tweeted a photo of herself jumping for joy, writing, “In ATL filming today-Mourning my absence from Coachella. Today is day 1 of sunshine music festivities. But just because I'm not there, doesnt mean I cant rock my Coachella gear here in ATL while I listen to the music on my iPod. #wishfulthinking #coachella #itsjustnotthesame.”
Her musical melancholy aside, we noticed something else interesting about her photo. The splendid artwork covering the bridge behind her looked awfully familiar. Nina’s on-screen brother Steven R. McQueen (Jeremy Gilbert) tweeted a set of pics showcasing a very similar scene yesterday. Perhaps Steven is in Atlanta, filming his return to TVD?
It’s not clear exactly which episode Nina’s shooting, but Season 4, Episode 22 is reportedly titled “The Walking Dead.” What an appropriate time for Elena’s deceased little brother to make a comeback. Of course, Steven could be playing Silas in another one of the ancient immortal’s disguises.
Guess we’ll just have to wait and see what’s going on under that overpass!
