Vampire Diaries star Ian Somerhalder is a busy, busy man. He’s the star of a wildly successful vampire drama that films nine months of the year. He champions environmental and animal rights causes through his nonprofit the Ian Somerhalder Foundation (ISF). He was even recently named a UNEP Goodwill Ambassador, tasked with convincing fans to Go Green. Basically, it’s no surprised that Ian sometimes wishes he had his own doppelganger to get everything he wants done...
“Sometimes I wish that there were 2 of Me!” Ian captioned a trippy double exposure Instagram photo featuring two images of himself. “In my hyperbaric chamber at home.Rejuvenation needs to happen.Wow, SO MUCH HAPPENING AT ONCE.Just got back from ISF strategy meetings in Toronto after Washington DC Testimony- today reading script after script, interviews, on Go Green Mobile Power AND Go Green Equipment Leasing phone calls, emails, signing documents, gladly cleaning up Kitty poop, walking the dog and throwing sticks for my beautifully-precious and wound-up (from Dad working all day inside) Pitbull. I feel like a shell of Ian Somerhalder, but I feel more fulfilled and more inspired to keep going. Compressed air enriched with oxygen should do the trick I think. Great things to come. Watch out- the future is bright;better get your sunglasses…” We have to give Ian some serious credit. Even when he is exhausted and the world is making decisions about its future he doesn’t agree with, he is optimistic.
Things are about to get a bit crazier for Ian, too. Filming on the sixth season of TVD starts on July 7, which means fewer trips across the world and chances to testify in front of Congress. Though, maybe Damon Salvatore will come back to the dead with a mission to save the elephants? We’d watch that storyline.
