Tyler Lockwood had to hightail it out of Mystic Falls on The Vampire Diaries to avoid the wrath of Klaus. While we’re dying of sadness that he might not return anytime soon, we’re glad actor Michael Trevino is taking advantage of the situation!
As you might have noticed, our favorite vamps and hybrids are all on a mini-hiatus at the moment. Some TVD cast members are busy shooting The Originals spin-off in New Orleans, and many others are staying close to their show’s southern home. But not Michael! This jet-setter hopped himself an international flight and headed to Moscow.
From the looks of his Twitter and Instagram accounts, Michael has made the most of his Russian excursion. He caught a show by electronic music artist Peaches, made friends with Russian horses, tried out the local fashions, drove what looks like the most terrifyingly fast snowmobile in the world, and (we’re sure) much, much more.
As for the reason Michael picked Russia, we’re not really sure. Business or pleasure or...secretly shooting some sort of “Tyler on the run” TVD episode? Hey, we can dream, right?
Or maybe he’s just scouting out the location before the Eye-Con 2013 date in Russia. In one of his Instagram photos, Michael thanked Moscow for being so welcoming and promised see more of the city in May.
The trip looks amazing. Now if he’d just send us a bottle of vodka...
