A relative unknown before landing his role on The Vampire Diaries, Joseph Morgan is now one of the hottest faces to watch this year! Not only is he set to begin filming his very own spin-off, The Originals, the 32-year-old actor has landed a role in the upcoming indie thriller Dermaphoria.
On Tuesday, June 25, Joseph was spotted out in New Orleans, where he and the cast are scheduled for a brief, yet intense 19-day shoot. Joined by his co-star Kate Walsh, Joe was seen looking adorable as she snacked on Pinkberry frozen yogurt between takes.
Dermaphoria tells the story of Eric, an experimental chemist who wakes up in a New Orleans jail and doesn’t know how or why he got there. All he does remember is that he has a girlfriend, one who appears to be missing. When Eric is unexpectedly released on bail, he holes up in a low rent motel, determined to find a way to put together the pieces of the puzzle and track down the girl. He thinks he’s found the solution to his amnesia in a strange new hallucinogen and begins to take steadily increasing doses. The drugs helps Eric reassemble his past, but it comes at the expense of his grip on the present.
Dermaphoria also stars Walton Goggins (Justified), Ron Perlman (Sons of Anarchy), and Joseph’s real-life girlfriend Persia White.
