It’s time to put Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev to a test of professionalism. Both Vampire Diaries actors have been nominated for Teen Choice Awards, and according to the award show’s Twitter, they’ll be attending the ceremony. US Weekly reported in late May that the former couple had broken up. Ian and Nina were seen together since, at the CW Upfronts, but after that encounter, they’ve been on different continents, filming movies.
The Teen Choice Awards will air live on Fox August 11, and Nina and Ian are confirmed guests. Ian is up against Paul Wesley (Stefan Salvatore), Jensen Ackles, Jared Padalecki, and Stephen Amell in the Choice TV Actor: Fantasy/Sci-Fi category. There’s no word yet on whether Paul will attend.
Nina has some friendly TVD competition of her own. Kat Graham (Bonnie Bennett), who will also be present for the awards show, is nominated in Nina’s category, Choice TV Actress: Fantasy/Sci-Fi. Katie Cassidy from Arrow, Ginnifer Goodwin of Once Upon a Time, and Beauty and the Beast’s Kristin Kreuk are also in the running.
TVD is up for its own award as well: Choice TV Show: Fantasy/Sci-Fi.
