Caution! Huge Vampire Diaries spoilers for Season 4, Episode 20, “The Originals.” Don’t read if you haven’t watched!
Holy moly! We can’t even. Our brains are mush after The Originals’ huge reveal. Klaus (Joseph Morgan) is going to be a father. Apparently hybrid anatomy is a little different from vampires, meaning they can sometimes procreate?
Apparently something, um, stuck when he and Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) did the deed, and now she’s pregnant with his baby. What will Caroline (Candice Accola) say?
At first, Klaus was nonplussed and told the witches who were holding Hayley captive to kill both her and the baby. But after a lot of persuading from Elijah (Daniel Gillies), Klaus realized he could have the makings of a family.
With plans to move permanently to New Orleans and challenge Marcel’s place as king of the city, Klaus certainly has a lot on his plate. What do you think of the new developments? Is it thrilling, or is it a little too Twilight for your taste?
Either way, we’re intrigued to see where they go with this plot. If The Originals goes to series, that will certainly be an interesting dynamic to explore. If not, will Klaus bring his supernatural tot back to Mystic Falls?
It will be interesting to see how Klaus handles fatherhood. Can you picture him on diaper duty?
