The Originals — The Vampire Diaries spin-off that will air its pilot on April 25 — is all about the family of vampires who’ve been around for 1,000 years. But according to Zap2It, at least one sibling won’t be very involved — for now.
In case the photos from the episode weren’t enough of a clue, Rebekah (Claire Holt) doesn’t immediately tag along with Klaus (Joseph Morgan) and Elijah (Daniel Gillies) on their New Orleans adventure. In fact, she has a very small role in Season 4, Episode 20, “The Originals.”
Never fear, Bex fans. If the pilot gets picked up for a full series — and both Deadline and Zap2It say the chances are good — then the Original sis will definitely be a big part of the show. Right now, however, she isn’t too happy with Klaus.
“Without being too spoilery,” Julie Plec tells Entertainment Weekly, “Rebekah is most egregiously displeased when we start this episode, and so for her, it's a big question of, 'Do I even care enough about this monster that I see as my brother to give a damn about our happiness and our family's togetherness?'''
Whoa. What has Klaus done this time? Claire Holt tells EW, ''Elijah pleads with her and tries to convince her to bring the family together again and to enter a new phase of their existence together, and it's a really difficult thing for Rebekah. She has always valued loyalty in her family and she feels incredibly betrayed by Klaus, and so it's hard for her to open up to the idea of helping him out.''
Klaus and Rebekah have been betraying each other all season. The only thing we can think of that would make her this mad is cure-related...
