If there’s one vampire on all of The Vampire Diaries who would want to destroy the cure if he got his hands on it, it’s Damon (Ian Somerhalder). He’s made it perfectly clear he wants nothing to do with it and thinks all his friends are better off with their fangs. But what if, by some fluke, Mr. Salvatore actually ended up taking it?
That very query was posed to Ian Somerhalder by Entertainment Weekly. Surprisingly, he didn’t think Damon would be too upset. Rather, Ian thinks that after the initial shock wore off, Damon would get over it pretty quickly.
According to Ian, Damon would say, “‘Well, I’ve lived quite a while, I’m gonna grow old naturally and die. I could take the Salvatore fortune and donate half of it to the Ian Somerhalder Foundation, and then just go buy a really great loft in New York and a place in the Caribbean and just chill. Maybe a vineyard in the south of France. That could be cool’”
Hm, what do you think, TVD fans? Does that sound like Damon to you?
Regardless, we’d certainly drink a glass or two of Salvatore wine. But it would be a shame to see Damon get wrinkles in that flawless skin he’s always bragging about.
