Not to alarm you, but we thought it’d be better coming from us than your DVR: The Vampire Diaries is scheduled for another hiatus in April 2013.
Starting April 4, The CW will air two weeks of repeat episodes. The first will be Season 4, Episode 12, “A View to a Kill,” and Season 4, Episode 13, “Into the Wild” will re-air on April 18.
The reason, as always, is that there are more weeks between now and the Season 4 finale — which is set for May 16 — than there are episodes. The good news? This is the last hiatus of the season.
April 18 sees all new episodes return, starting with Season 4, Episode 19. The next week, on April 25, The CW will air the backdoor pilot for The Vampire Diaries spin-off, The Originals. The new episodes will continue until Season 4, Episode 23, which is the finale.
It’s hard to believe Season 4 is more than half over! We’ve seen Elena (Nina Dobrev) turn into a vampire and lose her emotions. Soon Klaus (Joseph Morgan) and his siblings will head for New Orleans. Sigh. It’s all going so fast!
Still lost? Here’s a handy schedule of when the next several episodes are airing.
March 21: The Vampire Diaries Season 4, Episode 17, "Because the Night"
