This article is mostly talking about how Ryan Gosling is being featured in a new fan trailers. Does this mean he is getting more fans to pull for him, or could it mean his fans are just coming out with the fan made trailers?
Fifty Shades of Grey fans are apparently a fickle bunch because they've reportedly ditched Ian Somerhalder as the acknowledged Christian Grey frontunner and replaced him with former favorite, Ryan Gosling. This change of heart is reportedly the result of two new—or newly resurfaced—fan trailers. One video pairs Gosling with Emma Stone, the other with Mila Kunis.
Interestingly, it's not just the fans who desperately want Gosling to play E. L. James' kinky antihero. It's also the leading ladies. Even Somerhalder's long-time girlfriend and Vampire Diaries costar, Nina Dobrev has said she "would be far more interested if [Ryan Gosling] were playing Christian Grey. ...guess that's all it takes." La Dobrev blurted that bit of TMI when she was asked to comment on Emma Watson's unabashed desire to see the Drive star play Mr. Grey. La Watson once said she'd play Anastasia Steele only if Gosling could be cast as Christian. Other actresses have also jumped on the Gangster Squad star's bandwagon. When The Walking Dead's Laurie Holden was asked who should star in 50 Shades of Grey, she declared: "Ryan Gosling and myself." And even Mila Kunis, who has since removed herself from the Anastasia contenders' list was singing a different tune about the role as recently as January.
So, there you have it. Ryan Gosling is the fan favorite again—even though he too has bowed out of the Fifty Shades of Grey movie race—or so he says.
