proffesor shane Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Elena (Nina Dobrev) have some together time, in which he tells her how he really feels about the cure — and whether he’d take it himself. Speaking of the cure, something comes to light that makes everyone feel differently about it. Remember when Bonnie (Kat Graham) helped Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) fight his urge to kill Elena? He’s returning the favor by assisting the witch in separating truth from fiction. Meanwhile, Bonnie’s mentor, Shane (David Alpay), is shown compassion by Caitlin (Camille Guaty), a woman he once knew. The left behind, Tyler (Michael Trevino) and Caroline (Candice Accola), need Klaus (Joseph Morgan) to puzzle out the Hunter’s Sword. The OV will help, but he has his own motives. Rebekah (Claire Holt) is somewhere, too, likely sulking over Stefan and Elena.
