Oh, Canada. The home of Maple leaf flags and ketchup chips is the setting for Vampire Diaries Season 4, Episode 13, “Into the Wild,” but it’s not going to be all Smarties and universal healthcare.
Professor Shane (David Alpay) takes Stefan (Paul Wesley), Elena (Nina Dobrev), Damon (Ian Somerhalder), Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen), Bonnie (Kat Graham), and Rebekah (Claire Holt) to a remote isle off of Nova Scotia. That’s where they have the best maple syrup. Just kidding. It’s probably where the cure is located, though Damon thinks Shane is tricking them.
Rebekah and Elena are at each other’s throats (what — or whom — are they fighting over?) and Stefan has to referee.
Bonnie and Jeremy play detective with his tattoo. Shouldn’t they have done that before they left for Canada? Meanwhile, Shane gives more background on Qetsiyah and his own mysterious origins.
Tyler (Michael Trevino) and Caroline (Candice Accola) have been left back in Mystic Falls. Surprisingly, Klaus (Joseph Morgan) didn’t go on the voyage to Canada either, and Tyler confronts the OV. Per usual, Caroline is caught between them.
Let’s hope everyone makes it home safely, with nothing more than a Canadian whiskey hangover.
“Into the Wild” (Content Rating TBD) (HDTV)
