The Vampire Diaries’ Claire Holt on Fearing Stelena Shippers and Why Rebekah Should Hook Up With Everyone

The Vampire Diaries’ Rebekah is one vampire you don’t want to mess with, and Claire Holt knows the feeling. Now that her character is canoodling with Stefan (Paul Wesley), she tells Entertainment Tonight that she’s a little worried about the fans’ reactions.
“Listen, I love working with Paul Wesley. He's such a fine actor and such a fine human, so any time our characters get to interact, I'm happy,” says Claire. “I'm always a little scared of the Stelena shippers, but I think it's fun. I always enjoyed the Ripper Stefan and I loved the dynamic they had in the 1920's episode. I think it brings out good things in both Stefan and Rebekah.”
It has been nice to see a different side of mean-girl Bex, and Claire points out that the vamp’s personality makes her conflicted when it comes to the cure. “That provides a huge amount of inner turmoil for her because she loves parts of being a vampire — the power, being able to control situations — but she also wants to be a real girl and to have those experiences of going to a dance and being loved by a boy.”
And while she likes the idea of Rebekah and Stefan or Rebekah and Matt (Zach Roerig), Claire’s not all that picky when it comes to who the Original sister makes out with. “I'm a Rebekah anyone shipper. I'll hook up with anyone in Mystic Falls, because, I don't know if you've seen those guys, but they're pretty gorgeous.”
Yeah, you really can’t go wrong with any of the men in Mystic Falls.
