Ian Somerhalder's Damon to Relive the '70s on The Vampire Diaries

Damon in The Vampire Diaries Season 4, Episode 5: “The Killer”

What was New York City like in the ‘70s? We’ll soon find out on The Vampire Diaries.

Damon (Ian Somerhalder) will be our tour guide, according to what Julie Plec tells Entertainment Weekly. The show will flash back to the bell-bottom era, but don’t expect a disco inferno.

Based on some casting spoilers, it sounds like the scene will be a little punkier. “Damon relives a time in his life in the ’70s when he was not so well behaved,” says Julie Plec.

Ah, Damon’s misspent eternal youth.

Elena (Nina Dobrev), Damon, and Rebekah (Claire Holt) will also road trip to modern day NYC.

We’re not exactly sure what they’re doing there, but our guess is searching for the villainous Katherine (Nina Dobrev) — and hopefully buying some of those “I <3 NY” shirts for everyone they left back in Mystic Falls.

The Vampire Diaries Speculation: Why Is Hayley in New Orleans?

Phoebe Tonkin as Hayley

The Vampire Diaries’ Originals spin-off is shaping up nicely, and we are counting the days until the backdoor pilot of this potential new series airs on April 25! (For the record: it’s 61.)

We only know so much about The Originals episode at this point, but Klaus (Joseph Morgan) is heading to the sultry, supernatural soup that is New Orleans to solve a mystery. It was only a matter of time before we heard that OV siblings Rebekah (Claire Holt) and Elijah (Daniel Gillies) would be joining him.

Then some sexy, witchy ladies were added to the mix, as well as a sweet, human (Elena-esque?) psychology student and the Big Easy’s alpha vamp/Klaus’s protégé Marcel. And then, for some reason, Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin).

Everyone else seems to line up pretty well with the pilot’s premise, but the addition of this werewolf made us think a little harder. Phoebs was one of the first actors attached to the spin-off, but... why is Hayley even there?

For starters, Hayley is one of the few people who always had the cojones to stand up to Klaus. News of a plot forming against him in New Orleans makes Klaus travel to Louisiana, and we wouldn’t put it past her to help organize some sort of Klaus coup.

But would she want to? Well, maybe.

First, there’s Tyler (Michael Trevino). Whether or not Hayley and Tyler ever got it on, the two were always close, so maybe she’s looking to stop Klaus from being on the murder-path for her pal.

Hayley also helped un-sire all of Klaus’ hybrids, which she then straight up told him so he would go kill them and Professor Shane would give her info on her parents. Her plan didn’t work for her, but that won’t stop Klaus from being pissed. Maybe Hayl will seek forgiveness so he’s not out to kill her? We all know how Klaus loves a hunt.

Perhaps it’s a sexy reason? After Hayley helped Tyler break his sire bond in the woods, she showed up in Mystic Falls and caused some serious tension between him and Caroline (Candice Accola). If Hayley and Klaus get friendly in New Orleans, she could very well be there if (when!?) Caroline comes to visit, and throw a wrench in the Klaroline works, just like she did with Forwood. She’s a werewolf; he’s a hybrid; they’re both hot. You do the math.

Or who knows, maybe New Orleans is the latest stop in Hayley’s search for her parents? Or maybe she just has some bricks to count. The suspense is killing us!

The Vampire Diaries Spoilers For Season 4, Episode 20: Why Is Klaus Feeling Self-Destructive?

Klaus in The Vampire Diaries Season 4, Episode 14: “Down the Rabbit Hole”

Klaus (Joseph Morgan) has always been one of the most complicated characters on The Vampire Diaries. In Season 4, Episode 12, “A View to a Kill,” he had a lengthy conversation with Damon (Ian Somerhalder) about being bad “with a purpose” versus merely doing things “to be a dick.”

The OV has lashed out numerous times, but in Season 4, Episode 20 — the backdoor pilot for The Originals spin-off — he might do something that makes him genuinely feel regret. In fact, Klaus is so “self-destructive,” according to a Deadline spoiler, that he flees Mystic Falls. Elijah (Daniel Gillies) tries to assist his brother, who is in need of redemption.

Apparently that’s not the only reason Klaus returns to his old haunt. “The idea is that a turn of events in Mystic Falls sends Klaus to New Orleans to solve a mystery,”  Julie Plec tells Entertainment Weekly. “He gets word that some people are making a move against him that might concern him. So he heads to New Orleans to try to figure who’s plotting against him and what they’re up to.”

Doing a little detective work is all well and good, but we’re reminded of when Elijah left Mystic Falls. He felt repulsed by his behavior toward Elena (Nina Dobrev). There’s one person Klaus cares about so much, we can see him deeply regretting hurting her in any way: Caroline (Candice Accola).

Hopefully the blond vampire has nothing to do with Klaus’s shame spiral.

Elena’s All WTF in The Vampire Diaries Season 3, Episode 6: “Smells Like Teen Spirit”

The extended promo for The Vampire Diaries Season 4, Episode 16, “Bring It On” shows a much lighter (and less clothed) side of Elena (Nina Dobrev). The new vamp is unemotional and about to head back to high school. We’ll take you through the video second by second so you can see just exactly why that’s a terrible idea.

Fifty Shades of Grey movie casting: Nina Dobrev vs Amber Heard...
Looks like Fan Share has yet another round of Anastasia favorites for you to think about today!

Here is whats being reported on this..

We have been looking for our Anastasia Steele for Fifty Shades movie

So far we have eliminated a number of stars

We now check out Nina Dobrev and Amber Heard
Our search for Anastasia Steele in the Fifty Shades of Grey movie continues as we continue to narrow the actresses linked to the role. We have previously seen Alexis Bledel overcome Kristen Stewart, Emilia Clarke take out Felicity Jones and yesterday saw Lucy Hale beat Emma Watson . Now, we are going to check out Nina Dobrev and Amber Heard

Nina Dobrev

Since the day that it was announced that a Fifty Shades of Grey movie was going to be made, fans of The Vampire Diaries have been screaming for Nina Dobrev to be cast as Anastasia Steele. Many fans would love to see Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder as Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey in the Fifty Shades of Grey film. Nina is certainly an actress on the up and leading a movie as huge as Fifty Shades of Grey could be perfect for her career.

Amber Heard

While there have been certain individuals that have been receiving huge backing from fans around the world, there has only been a small murmur about Amber Heard. However, Amber has proven over the years that she is more than capable of pulling off such a huge role and her stunning looks will certainly not harm her chances. The only thing really letting her down is the backing of the Fifty Shades of Grey fans, although they could come around in time.

However, Amber Heard does not seem to have as big a pulling power as Nina Dobrev, as she will bring in a huge portion of The Vampire Diaries fans. It is unlikely that Nina Dobrev will be cast alongside Ian Somerhalder, as the Fifty Shades of Grey movie will not want to link too heavily toThe Vampire Diaries. With that said, Nina has a better chance of being cast as Anastasia Steele in the Fifty Shades of Grey movie than Amber Heard.
